After giving the monster life, Frankenstein is disgusted by and fearful of the monster's appearance. When the monster first comes to life, Victor says, "I had desired it with an ardour that far exceeded moderation; but now that I had finished, the beauty of the dream vanished, and breathless horror and disgust filled my heart.” Frankenstein flees hoping to forget what he has created and attempts to live a normal life.
Once home, Frankenstein marries his cousin Elizabeth and, possessing full knowledge of and belief in the monster's threat, prepares for a fight to the death with the monster. Frankenstein vows to pursue the monster until one of them destroys the other. After months of pursuit, the two end up in the Arctic Circle, near the North Pole, where Frankenstein chases the monster until his death.

The Beverly Hills plastic surgeon who remade Heidi Montag died when his Jeep plunged off a Malibu highway into the ocean Monday, a California Highway Patrol spokesman said.
"The Jeep veered to the right and ran off the roadway," Officer Steven Reid said. "The Jeep overturned down a rocky embankment towards the ocean and eventually came to rest on its roof."
